“Fill children with joy
and make them
the lights of the nation”

Prince ONIANGUÉ

Brazzaville

Brazzaville is home to the nation’s capital and is the political center around which the entire administration built. It is a city on the Congo River banks, featuring tourist areas such as The Cataracts and the Pierre Savorgnan de Brazza Memorial. It is the most populous city in the Congo. In 1944, during the war, General De Gaulle declared Brazzaville the capital of Free France at the Brazzaville Conference. There, he sent a message to the allies.
